Gunter Becomes Second WolfPack Athlete To Be Named Canada West Three Star

For the second week in a row, a member of the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack has been chosen as a Canada West  “Three star of the week”.

Brad Gunter (3rd year, outside hitter, Courtenay, BC) of the WolfPack men’s volleyball team has bene chosen a male second star for the week ending November 24, 2013.

Gunter has been a dominant force in Canada West this entire season and was the team’s kill’s leader this past weekend when the WolfPack swept the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

He had 44 kills in 79 chances with 17, digs, four service aces, a solo block and six block assists.

Gunter follows basketball player Josh Wolfram (3rd year, forward, Kamloops, BC) as being selected a Canada West Three Star.

The WolfPack men’s volleyball team, now rated seventh in the nation take their 6 and 4 record into Calgary this week (Nov 29-30) to meet the Mount Royal University Cougars.

TRU will travel to Hawaii after Christmas for some exhibition matches before returning home to face the Brandon University Bobcats.  Those matches will be played at the TRU gym on January 10 th and 11 th.
